doe- a deer, a female deer. ray- a drop of golden suuun. me- a name I call myself...

ohhhhh music, how I love thee.

I don´t know about you, but I´m pretty sure that I couldn´t live without music. I need music to accompany everything. I like walking down the street and imagining that the music I´m listening to is like the soundtrack to my life. Sometimes it fits way too perfectly with the situation to be coincidence.

Music can move me more than anything else. Something about music reaches below the surface, causing reactions that can be felt physically. Have you ever noticed that it feels like your heart is literally beating to the rhythm of a song? Or that you unconsciously start to take footsteps to the beat?

I can appreciate any type of music as long as the musician is talented. However, I prefer to listen to music that doesn´t degrade women (I don´t like most rap or reggaeton), that isn´t so loud that I can´t understand what they are saying (intense screaming is out of the question), and that doesn´t boast lyrics such as ¨ohhh I drove around in my truck, shooting rabbits and drinking beer¨(country sucks).

While I enjoy jazz, classical, electronic, bluegrass and the blues; my favorite types of music are alternative, rock and underground.

The town where my university is located has a really great music scene. There are several small venues which are frequented by some very talented musicians. The best live musical experience I´ve ever had was in Chicago at the Lollapalooza music festival. I got to see almost 10 of my favorite bands in one weekend. This included seeing Daft Punk live- which was fucking insane.

My full name is Christine Lynn Donovan. It sort of rhymes
ok... not really.

I am 21 years old but sometimes I feel like I´m 70 (I have a bad knee) , other times I feel like I´m no more than 10. I don´t know how my friends handle me...

I was born in Colorado, I later moved to Chicago then moved once again to North Carolina. I call North Carolina home these days, where I attend the University of North Carolina (Micheal Jordan woot woot). I study art, literature and Spanish (doesn´t show) but I have absolutely no idea what I will do with this in the future. I wouldn´t mind being a university professor because they are always studying/learning (I admit it, I´m a nerd) and they get summers off (I want to travellllll). I am however, extremely open for change in any plans my little head may try to adhere to at this point.

I love: drawing, mountains, music, reading, laughing, hiking, camping, exploring, getting lost, cheese, food in general, meeting people, coffee and cigarettes (together) I guess seperately too.
